Sustainability Team Lend-A-Hand In Kings Cross

The Sustainability, Energy and Security Team spent the day near to our Kings Cross Readymix Plant clearing an area of Council land that had become overgrown and then planting wild flower plugs, along with creating a bug hotel.

They worked with Islington Borough Council who also provided 2 people and various tools, along with all the plug plants.

He has also been one of a few local residents who have complained about some aspects of our Kings Cross operation which has been a community ‘hotspot’ for a number of years.

Ian joined the Team for the day and was very grateful for the support which makes a positive difference to the view from where he and other residents live. It also gave CEMEX the chance to show the true side of our business – one that wants to get on with our day to day operations but in a responsible and open manner, giving back where we can and trying hard to address any local concerns.

Ian’s view of us clearly changed for the better.

I’d encourage everyone to take their Lend-A-Hand day to help communities and charities close to our hearts.”
