The Sustainability team have created the latest Environmental Briefing about legal changes to the classification of wood waste which may potentially affect how we dispose of wood from our sites.
From the 1st September certain types of wood waste, such as railway sleepers are now classified as hazardous waste and must be disposed of as such. The Biffa guidance note gives additional information – you can access this here.
Many sites capture evidence of communication of environmental briefings for the purposes of showing continued training and awareness as part of the Cemex EMS. The Communication Form can be used for this purpose – you can access this here.
