One of our charity partners, Cambridge Science Centre, has opened a ‘pop-up science centre’ in the Grand Arcade, St Andrew’s Street, Cambridge. They have taken over a unit on the First Floor and are running a mini science centre for eight weeks in the run up to Christmas.
As you can imagine, it’s a busy time for the team manning the pop-up, and so they have come to us with a request for volunteers.
Each week, Wednesday to Sunday, there will be two shifts available in the Grand Arcade: 10.30am – 1.30pm, and 2pm – 5pm, and on Mondays and Tuesday there will be one shift available: 2pm – 5pm.

There will always be a minimum of two CSC staff in-store to support volunteers, and training on the different exhibits will be given.
