Don’t Slip Up

Unfortunately, it looks like we will be reporting a TRI, likely LTI, in respect of an employee on one of our block plants, who fell on Saturday morning while coming down some steps.  He has suffered a serious injury, fractured shoulder, and is likely to be off work for up to 4 weeks.

Please be vigilant especially as the weather is now wet and windy.  Remember to always wear the appropriate foot ware to prevent slips, always have 3 points of contact whenever steps or stairs are involved, or when the conditions underfoot on a level surface are slippery.  Most importantly STEP IN AND SPEAK UP when you see anything or anyone unsafe.
