John Parker reports that he was on a VFL at Barnsley recently when one of our IHCs, Phil Freeman, came in to the Plant.

Phil and John were discussing the new policy on wheel nut indicators and he commented that on the Monday he noticed on his pre-start check that three indicators had moved. These were immediately torqued up and all the studs replaced as it was thought they had stretched. This undoubtedly helped prevent a wheel becoming detached from the truck.

In the UK around 400 vehicles lose wheels every year. By issuing these indicators to our IHC community CEMEX has helped to make our roads safer –  Best for Families and Best for Communities.
