Don’t worry though – it was only a drill.

Over the past couple of weeks both the Sand Falcon and Welsh Piper marine dredgers have had visits from the UK Coastguard, undertaking rescue operation drills.

Drills such as these are part of life on board our ships, alongside others such as emergency evacuations, lifeboat launches, fires and even dealing with bombs. They all play an important part in making sure we keep our people safe every day.
