Thanks go to the Team at Sheffield Asphalt Plant who, having carried out regular emergency drills, were well prepared to look after a collect customer who was taken ill at the Plant.

The customer had passed out and was found slumped over the steering wheel of his truck. It was feared he had suffered a heart attack and the Team were on hand with their defibrillator in case it was needed. They were able to make the customer comfortable while waiting for the emergency services to attend. Fortunately the defibrillator wasn’t required and the customer was taken to hospital as a precaution. Pleasingly we believe he is recovering well.
