Worryingly the European region is now a safety hot spot after having 5 LTIs in the last 11 weeks after 4 months LTI free. 

Sergio has asked that we all have a safety stand down across our operations to re-focus.  Everyone has a responsibility to STEP IN and prevent unsafe behavior at all times.  Please redouble your efforts and ask your Line Manager when you are having your stand down.

Unfortunately, we had an employee LTI in Croatia, Sv Kajo Cement plant last week. Last Thursday a Shift Supervisor went into the kiln to supervise employees during a coating demolition. At one moment he walked over demolished material and he slipped.  The fall resulted in a bone displacement on his left foot and he needs 3 weeks off work.  A full investigation is on-going to share learnings of this incident.
