The Europe Region 2020 Health and Safety Improvement Plan is now available and can be downloaded here: https://cemexuknews.co.uk/downloads/

The Plan was developed following a detailed review of the findings from the site self-assessments against the CEMEX Health and Safety Management System, which were completed by Managers and Supervisors towards the end of last year, and the Health and Safety Inspections carried out by the Health and Safety teams throughout 2019, along with consultation through the National Health and Safety Committee and consultative forums.

We have avoided trying to cover too many topics in the Plan, preferring to focus on key activities such as guarding standards, isolation procedures, traffic management and contractor and driver certification, which if addressed robustly across all operations, should greatly benefit our health and safety standards and support us on our journey to Zero4Life performance. Also included in the Plan are a number of health initiatives, which are aligned with the new 2020 CEMEX Global health promotion programme.

With effective implementation of the Plan, we look forward to continuing to improve our health and safety performance and, most importantly, Looking After Ourselves and Each Other… our number 1 Safety Essential!
