The Latest Safey Alert relates to an incident on an Asphalt Plant where hot bitumen escaped from a flange. The spill burnt through a compressed air hose, resulting in a spray of hot bitumen at an approximate temperature of 135-140 degrees being projected upwards, with potential for serious injury.
