With the school holidays now underway across the country it’s a good time for sites to look again at their precautions to prevent injury to trespassers.   These precautions should including fencing, bunding and warning signs around site boundaries and specific hazards, life rings and throw ropes adjacent to open water/lagoons, security of mobile plant, and restrictions to high level access where required.

Inspection and defect reporting schemes should be in place to ensure control measures remain in good order… where repairs are required it is recommended that these are recorded, with photographs being taken as appropriate.
