Many congratulations to both Steve Taylor, Local Asphalt Plant Manager, Sheffield and Karen Toye, 2nd Master on the Sand Fulmar,CEMEX Marine, for receiving awards from the MPA for their outstanding commitment to H&S at work. They received their awards at the recent MPA conference ‘Closing the Gap’. The focus was on bridging the gap between H&S aims and the realities on the ground ‘at work’. 250 delegates were at the conference from 65 organisations all had a chance to congratulate Karen and Steve for their brilliant commitment to safety.
Karen had done an amazing job promoting H&S in Marine by producing a video on enclosed spaces and promotional materials such as T-shirts to spread the safety essentials message amongst colleagues.
