Recently, around 60 Cemex colleagues took part in four interactive sessions led by DC Neil Howells from the West Midlands Police Regional Organised Cyber Crime Unit. The focus? Helping everyone understand and protect against the growing threat of cyber crime.
Highlights included:
- A live dark web demonstration – see where stolen money goes and how cyber criminals use it.
- How individuals and organisations typically fall victim to cyber crime.
- Practical preventative measures to safeguard yourself and your organisation.
- The importance of strong passwords, account protection, and understanding the impact if systems are breached.
A huge thank you to everyone who made the time to attend any of the sessions – we hope you took away something useful to help keep yourself and Cemex safer online.
Feedback has been very positive, and we’re exploring additional sessions. If you missed out this week but would like to join a future session, please email John Sweeting to register your interest.
