One of our competitors shared some sobering film footage via safequarry.com of a Driver narrowly escaping serious injury on a motorway hard shoulder when, following a tyre blowout, he got out of his vehicle on the wrong side adjacent to the live traffic.
It is well worth watching the attached footage which acts as a very effective reminder of the potential hazards and the need to follow relevant safety advice if you breakdown on a motorway. In addition to sharing the resulting Video Safety Alert with colleagues, you may want to show it to family and friends. It highlights the need to always leave a vehicle from the nearside if you breakdown on a motorway, and also to allow as much room as possible where you see a stranded vehicle:
