Recently the Building Products Management team visited Komatsu UK for a two-day Health & Safety meeting focused on best practice sharing and site management. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to see firsthand how Komatsu implements its 5S methodology to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Throughout the visit, the team engaged in insightful discussions on safety culture, operational excellence, and continuous improvement strategies. The interactive sessions encouraged knowledge-sharing, with both teams exchanging ideas on improving workplace organisation and Health & Safety performance.

A highlight of the visit was the site tour where the team observed Komatsu’s manufacturing processes and the application of their 5S principles in action. To top off the experience, attendees even had the chance to get hands-on with some of Komatsu’s impressive machinery, making for an exciting and engaging session.
