Assistant Quarry Manager, David Mccauley, reported that at Denge Quarry they successfully staged a Man-Overboard which was a very beneficial learning experience for the team. With the use of a RNLI man-overboard dummy, they simulated a crew member falling and being rescued by site staff.

David commented: “There was great input from site staff who completed the rescue in under ten minutes, simulating the reporting procedure. There was great effort from Thames Shipping contractors who helped the event happen.”
