Congratulations to MLP, who are the winners of the Supply Chain Health & Safety Contractor Award for Q3.

MLP supported the CEMEX Rail Team with the summer improvements programme, which saw considerable investment into the Attercliffe, Bletchley and Small Heath depots. These were large projects which MLP completed while ensuring high Health & Safety standards. Additionally, they carried out some pre-construction offsite (particularly for Attercliffe) to reduce outage and maintain customer supply.

Steve Taylor, Plant Manager at Attercliffe, commented: “MLP were an excellent contractor throughout the improvement programme at Attercliffe. They planned all the works out well, prioritising Health & Safety throughout, and this combined with their skillset and the top-notch machinery they used, meant they were very positive to work with.

Additionally, I was impressed by how well they knew what needed to be done and then communicated this clearly, while being very easy to adapt when things changed at short notice. It was a big project at Attercliffe, including an 80m stretch of concrete which has vastly improved the area used by delivery vehicles, and MLP completed the work safely and to a high standard.”
