Use of Oximeters Following COVID Diagnosis

We have been informed by our health & wellbeing advisors, New Leaf, that Oximeters may prove useful to certain people who have been diagnosed with Coronavirus.

If you or your family members test positive for the virus, and have anything but mild symptoms, it is worth seeking medical advice at an early stage and, when doing so, ask about the suitability of the COVID Oximetry @home service.

This involves the remote monitoring of patients with coronavirus symptoms. Patients use a pulse oximeter, a small monitor clipped to their finger, to measure their oxygen saturation levels three times a day. Patients are supported by clinical staff locally, so that if they need further treatment they can be admitted to hospital at the right time.
