Congratulations for a Zero Harm week last week. The whole EMEAA region returned to a week with Zero LTIs and TRIs.
Adding to this positive news, we are also pleased to announce that Detmarovice Cement reached 15 years LTI free, UAE Supermix 10 years LTI free, Southwest Bohemia Materials in Czech Republic 5 years LTI free, and Castillejo Cement 1 year LTI free. These achievements are further evidence that Zero is possible and are an inspiration to us all.
We have again seen a significant number of confirmed COVID-19 cases mainly across our European countries during the week. We remained focussed on following the protocols at work but it is also vital that we follow them outside of work because we have seen most cases where the virus has been contracted during social/family interactions. A summary of the week is below:
- 55 new cases were reported (15 Czech, 13 Poland, 11 France, 6 UK, 5 Croatia, 2 Germany, 2 Spain, 1 Philippines).
- There were 29 recoveries in the week.
- We now have 84 active cases, the highest since the pandemic began (31 Czech, 17 Poland, 11 France, 10 UK, 5 Croatia, 4 Spain, 3 Philippines, 2 Germany, 1 UAE).
