Congratulations to everyone on a safe week. I would also like to congratulate the team in the Norfolk and Cambridgeshire Area of Readymix Central Region, who have now reached 12 years LTI free. This is the longest record of any of the Readymix Areas and one the team should be very proud of.

Good to hear also that our Readymix Northern have been awarded a President’s Award in the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards (RoSPA – Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents). Congratulations to all team members for this significant milestone in our collective Health and Safety journey.

These pieces of good news are very pleasing and encouraging but should not lead to any relaxation as we still have a long way to go to repeat such performance consistently everywhere and every day. Managers and Supervisors are, therefore, encouraged to ensure their teams always take the time to STOP & THINK before starting a new task and CHECK all necessary precautions are in place, particularly when working on machinery.
