In April we announced the creation of the CEMEX Smart Innovation programme, and we are now ready to start. We would like to invite you to start submitting your ideas at: https://ideaportaleurope.ideas.aha.io/ideas.

CEMEX Smart Innovation has been set up to capture, develop and launch new ideas continuously, however, we would like to kick off with a challenge for the following months.

Please submit your ideas individually or as a team by Aug 15th. The top ideas will be rewarded at the end of September during the European Innovation Day, where the ideas to represent Europe in the Global CEMEX Innovation Day in November will be selected. The best ideas will be developed and launched.

The ideas can target any area of the Construction Value Chain, and you can use the Innovation Map to concentrate on areas which were identified as having the highest impact.

The priority areas for innovation are as follows:

• Developing supply chain solutions supported by digital capabilities to provide building materials to builders, distributors and industrial manufactures.
• Helping the industry improve the construction processes; supported by better building materials complying with sustainable credentials.
• Helping builders be more efficient at their jobsites.
• Sustainability / low carbon / circular economy.

Although these are focus areas, any idea that has a positive impact is welcomed and will be considered. CEMEX Smart Innovation encourages also disruptive and transformational ideas to help us think differently about industry challenges and opportunities.
