CEMEX announced that CEMEX Croatia is actively participating in Montenegro’s infrastructure boom by supplying building materials for several infrastructure projects, including three mixed-use resorts and a highway.
For the Smokovac-Mateševo section of the Bar-Boljare highway – the largest engineering project currently under development in Montenegro – CEMEX has already supplied over 280,000 tons of Cement, and continues to participate in this project. This 41-kilometre-long section of highway, part of Bar-Belgrade-Budapest Corridor, is expected to require the construction of 32 tunnels and 45 bridges and viaducts – rising from 63 to 1,100 metres above sea level.
CEMEX is also supplying over 200,000 tons of Cement for the Portonovi, Porto Montenegro, and Luštica Bay projects. These three mixed-use resorts offer luxurious accommodations, including a marina and yacht clubs, to attract high-end tourism to the Adriatic coast.
