On behalf of the UK Management team, a big ‘Thank You’ goes out to everyone for continuing to develop and implement their ideas that will help make Cemex a Safer place to work, with better Quality, greater Efficiency / Effectiveness and Cost Savings.
The following summary gives a brief overview of the ideas from the March 2025 competition:
- Adam Bradbury and team – increased efficiency of the site Wheel-Wash Unit to drastically reduce bottlenecks and operating costs.
- Steve Batty and team – replaced pedestrian walkway self-closing safety gates devices at a fraction of the costs of the original versions.
- Jake Goodwin and team – designed New Tray set up with a return plastic pipe and Concrete bay below to capture all waste BAD material which would otherwise have been lost.
Our congratulations go out to Jake Goodwin and team at Angerstein Wharf who took the top award this month!
