On the afternoon of Friday 20 November Dove Holes sold their 4 millionth tonne of aggregates for the year (earlier than the last year, which in itself was a record!). They got off to a slow start this year as they installed a new crusher, but the second half of the year’s increase in production has demonstrated the wisdom of that investment.

Neil Farmer, Aggs Director, Dove Holes and Rail comments: “There are many elements that go into safely producing that amount of tonnage, but the common denominator is good, highly trained, engaged people, from the Teams at Dove Holes and the depots, the Commercial Teams, supply chain, logistics, and other support functions including our Technical Department. I thank them all for their attitude support and commitment.

The next challenge is to get the rail and road links in place to move even more product next year.  Roll on 5 million tonnes!”
