This week the 1 millionth tonne was successfully delivered into our Yorkshire depots – Stourton, Selby and Sheffield – by rail for the first time ever in a calendar year.

This is an extremely impressive milestone achievable through the collaboration between Supply Chain, Aggregates and Urban solutions.

It also supports our Future in Action strategy of optimising the transport mode and reducing the amount of CO2 emissions.  Well done to everyone involved for this fantastic achievement.
