The EORI number (Economic Operators’ Registration and Identification number) is an operator identification number that is valid throughout the European Union. It serves to identify economic operators and is intended to facilitate automated customs clearance. You will likely find that customers and suppliers are asking for this before goods are transported; therefore please keep this number to hand.

A further EORI number will be required for goods moving from Northern Ireland to Great Britain only; this will have the prefix XI. We are awaiting written confirmation of this from HMRC and will communicate as soon as this is available
