Congratulations to Kevin Hockley and the team at Tilbury for completing a safe and successful mill reweld recently. 

The vertical mill was worn and needed a refurb.  Whilst the mill was shut down other essential maintenance work was carried out on the plant.  The Cement silos were filled before the seven day shutdown to make sure that customers weren’t affected by the outage.

The mill contains two slave rollers that level the raw materials on the table and two master rollers that the crush the raw materials into powder.  The before and after photos show the pounding that these rollers receive.
