In anticipation of the forthcoming Easter Holidays, when we tend to see an increase in trespass incidents coinciding with better weather and school holidays, it is timely for site teams to check their safety and security arrangements, ensuring suitable fencing and signage are in place around site boundaries and at higher risk areas such as lagoons, checking appropriate rescue equipment is available, such as throw ropes and life rings, that mobile plant is safely parked up and secure when not in use, along with any fuel storage.

Checks on site security and precautions to deter trespass should form part of site inspection schemes, with repairs being documented and photographed where possible.
