Oarsome Rowing Challenges

The Ahoy Centre is launching the 2016 Oarsome Challenges for the Construction Industry.  Anyone can enter – last year the CEMEX Logistics Team from Angerstein Wharf entered the Westminster to Greenwich challenge in aid of The Ahoy Centre charity who provide rowing and sailing facilities for disabled children and adults.

The 3 challenges this year are an 8.5 mile row on the Thames from Westminster to Greenwich; a longer 23 mile Great River Race on the Thames in September, and the ultimate challenge – 23 miles on the English Channel!! Anyone can take part – no experience is required – all training, boats, equipment and safety support will be provided by the Ahoy Centre.

To find out more email: rowing@ahoy.org.uk or telephone Andy on 020 8691 7502 Ext 105.  Information can also be found on Ahoy’s web site at www.ahoy.org.uk/row-for-us/.
