Congratulations to Marine’s Owain Ap-Hywel, who has passed his exams to become a Master in Training.  This means he can now embark on the next steps towards eventually becoming a ships Master.

Owain joined CEMEX in June 2018 and will continue to be mentored on board the Welsh Piper, to introduce him to the other marine disciplines and spend time with different people in different roles to progress his training.  Our current Master Mariners, Ken Hunter and Matt Bland, will then advise when they believe Owain is ready to take full command.

Well done to Owain for taking the next steps in his career.
